SOUTH COAST FOLK CLUB NEWSLETTERS

We have reduced the costs of producing and mailing out our monthly newsletter by introducing an electronic copy which we email to those who have the facilities and skills to access it. The electronic version is in pdf format (Portable Document Format), and because of the bookfold nature of our newsletter, two electronic versions will be produced, one optimised for reading on screen and the other for printing out. Links to the two electronic pdf versions of the current and previous two months' newsletters are below so that you can try them out.

(If you haven't got a PDF reader, the most common is Adobe Reader, available for free download from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html)

Hints for printing out the 'print optimised version':
For a duplex printer (capable of printing on both sides of the paper without manual intervention):
go to Page Setup and set the Staple side to ‘Short-side stapling (Top)’, or equivalent wording (actual wording may vary from one printer menu to another).
For a printer with no duplex facilities
Print ‘pages from 1 to 1’ then return page to printer with the other side of sheet to print, keeping the orientation (ie keep the right-hand-side to the right, etc), and print ‘pages from 2 to 2’. Repeat with pages ‘3 to 3’ and ‘4 to 4’ etc, until all pages have been printed.
Otherwise just print the lot on individual sheets and reverse each second sheet to get the page sequence right. Not as aesthetically pleasing, but workable.

Because of the book-fold nature of our newsletter, an electronic copy can be optimized
to print out, or read on screen, but not both. What is your preference?
