South Coast Folk Club is one of the biggest and most popular in the near Adelaide area. It is not unusual to walk into one of our free Thursday night sessions to find upwards of fifty or sixty musicians, singers, storytellers, supporters and visitors all joining in the fun! You will find people from all walks of life, young and old, often from many parts of the world. The emphasis is on sharing - while there are quite a few experienced musicians associated with the Club, they are only too happy to welcome and listen to raw beginners at the sessions and perhaps give a few pointers. If you're in Adelaide on a Thursday night, why not take a drive down the coast and join us - you'll certainly be made welcome! Our sessions are held from 8pm till midnight at the Port Noarlunga/Christies Beach RSL Clubrooms, Esplanade, Port Noarlunga - overlooking the jetty and our beautiful southern beaches. The session is free, the RSL Club is licensed and has Guinness on tap! Apart from the weekly come-all-ye sessions, the Club
also presents regular concerts - often featuring touring International
& Interstate performers - and presents a weekly folk music program
on Radio Coast FM (Folk Around the Coast - 88.7 Mhz) every Sunday from
4pm till 6pm. We also publish a monthly newsletter which can You are visitor number |
